Using Digital Still Cameras

We used a Fuji FinePix S900 Digital Still Camera to compose still images from our storyboard. This allowed us to learn about composition and using the aperture of the camera. This taught us about the composition and framing to produce a picture and also introduced us to the technical settings on this camera.

Why did i choose Media Studies?

Before i came to Hurtwood, i had never studied Media Studies, but had wanted to study it previously. I chose Media because I enjoy studying and have continued to study English and Theatre. Therefore I believed that I could integrate the different subjects. I also enjoy photography, and feel that media studies will help me to capture and understand the reasoning behind an image.
I feel that I have been inspired by television and films, my favorite genre of films is thriller.
