Treatment for our music video

The concept of our idea is futuristic and is used to create a unity between the band and its audience.
The performance element used in the music video consists of the duo exhibiting the new futuristic feel of their look and their music. This will intrigue the target audience as their age range (around 15 – 25) seem to aspire to new and interesting things. Their difference from other bands causes audiences to aspire to become them/ be like them. The aim is to have audiences idolise them.
The dance element is made up of the dancers who surround the duo during their performance. Through the dancers, the audience are able to relate to the song and give it a dance feel meaning at clubs, etc “DVNO” is linked to dancing as well, broadening the range of the audience. As well as providing the dance element, the dancers also highlight the duo’s popularity and accessibility. For the female audience, the duo are now exhibiting desirability as well.
The narrative element throughout the music video is what links the video to the outside world. The narrative demonstrates how this new form of music can connect others as a universally accepted song. It seems to insinuate that those listening to “DVNO” become infected by the music. As well as this, we also move through many forms of media. This narrative simply emphasises the way in which this music is being played everywhere by everyone. This leaves the audience wanting to do the same so that they can be as infected and connected as everyone else.
